Asbury Church is one church with one purpose in multiple locations across the Wichita Metro area.

Under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Dennis Wallace, Asbury is governed by the following.

The Connectional Council

Asbury Church stays unified through the Connectional Council that meets every other month. The Connectional Council (CC) is made-up of individuals from the leadership teams from each of Asbury’s campus locations, Chairpersons of the Staff Parish and Trustee Committee and members of the Pastoral Staff of Asbury Church. The CC is the governing body of Asbury Church responsible for making major decisions regarding the church as a whole including, but not limited to, finances, new initiatives and the direction of the church.

The Connectional Council Focus Team

Helping keep the Connectional Council on track is the CC Focus Team. Lead by the CC Chairman, this team consists of key leaders from the Connectional Council with the goal to streamline the flow of information to the Connectional Council. This team takes a detailed look at all business that will be presented to the CC one month in advance to make sure that all necessary information is available to help the CC make an informed decision on important matters. The Purpose Statement of the CC Focus Team is: To cast vision, suggest direction, to prepare strategies and plans for the mission and direction of Asbury Church, which is then to be presented to the Connectional Council for its action. The Focus Team meets every other month, on the months opposite to the Connectional Council meeting.

The Campus Leadership Teams

Each of Asbury’s campus locations is lead by a Campus Leadership Team, made up of congregation members from an individual campus and Asbury Staff. Each team has a chairperson and individuals representing each of the major ministry areas of Asbury Church. The purpose of these teams (is) to set the vision and direction for their campus and make recommendations to the Connectional Council regarding their campus. Leadership Teams meet every other month throughout the year.

The Board of Trustees

A Board of Trustees is the committee that the physical property of Asbury Church is trusted to. This team manages the buildings and grounds, ensuring the finest quality of operational standards are met. The Trustee Committees from each campus reports back to the Asbury Board of Trustees that oversees the Central Campus of Asbury Church as well as each of the campus locations. Trustee committees meet every month throughout the year.

The Staff Parish Committee

Asbury’s Staff Parish Committee is made-up of several lay leaders and staff who have the responsibility of speaking truth, with love, into the life of the Senior Pastor and the Pastoral team. This committee meets every other month and as needed. Weekly communication is maintained with Staff Parish and the Senior Pastor.
