Something New!
We all love new things right? Sure old things can be fun too but there is something about new things that pulls us in. Take Christmas for example. I could take my kids old toys and wrap them up (good idea- ha) but they’re not going to be as excited as they would be to open something that has never been played with before, brand new out of the box!
The bible talks about new things too. One of my favorite passages of scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:17 which says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! I love this scripture because I no longer have to dwell on my past mistakes and failures because Christ Jesus calls me NEW in Him! We have a fresh start in Jesus! Even if you said “yes” to Jesus a long time ago maybe today you need a “New” start. This holiday season let the “old” go and embrace the “new” you!

Other “New” News…
Land a’hoy!
GOD IS GOOD… Over the past year the leadership of Asbury has been praying about where Asbury West would one day call “home”. This last spring we were allowed to use the bldg. located at 119th and Pawnee for offices and counseling. This location at 119th and Pawnee is a 22 acre section of land owned by the conference. The conference offered to give us 8 acres of the land for free with the option of buying the additional 14 acres. After much prayer and discussion the leadership team at West decided that we would plant our roots at this location (119th and Pawnee), as it is a growing area. Hoping that one day we would be able to buy the additional 14 acres we began to think of options of how we could do that, knowing that land prices out West are costly. An amazing price would be $5000 an acre. However, we really thought that would be unheard of for them to accept. Before the proposal could be sent the conference knew we were interested in the additional land and said they would sell us the remaining 14 acres for $100 an acre… WOW! This gives us the 22 acre section with the Ministry Center for $1,400. God has blessed us more than we could ever imagine. He is so faithful and we believe this confirmation we are planting our roots where He wants us! Thanks West Campus for all your prayers and support.
HANDS AND FEET
SOUP SUNDAY!
Join us for our Soup Sunday on Dec. 13th after service at Explorer Elementary. We are inviting the teachers from Explorer and community service men and women from the local fire and police stations to show them our appreciation for what they do and how they serve our community. We also look forward to getting our “West Family” together for a time of connection and fellowship.
We would love if you could help us out! Contact Crystal Davis at for more information or to sign up to help out. Thanks West Campus for your heart to serve!
PRAYING
Be praying for West Campus as we begin our search for a new Children’s Director. We know God is preparing someone that will come in and do a great job leading our kids.
I wanted to say thanks West Campus for your continued faithfulness in your stewardship. I know when times are tough that tithing can be a difficult thing. God is faithful though and as we tithe His promise is that we will be taken care of. I look forward as we continue to increase our stewardship in the new year to see all that God has planned for us!
