Dennis Wallace has been the Senior pastor at Asbury Church since 1994. He is a graduate of Asbury College in Wilmore Kentucky and Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta Georgia. His gifts for ministry are leadership, evangelism, preaching and vision casting. Under his leadership Asbury has grown to one of the largest United Methodist Churches in the Kansas West Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Brian Folden is the Discipleship Pastor at Asbury Church. Brian comes to Asbury from Waco, TX., where he and his wife, LeAnn were pastors. Brian graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1982 with a Bachelor’s in Bible and Minor’s in English and Psychology. He has served churches in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and Texas. Brian & LeAnn have two daughters, Ashley and Alisa.

Bob is a retired pastor and school teacher, currently serving as a part-time Pastoral Care Pastor at Asbury. His job involves visits to the hospitals, care home, shut-ins, assisted living, those who have recently lost spouses, and any others with special needs. He also teaches an adult Sunday School class and Bible studies. Bob is married to Charlotte and they have three children, thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandson.

Greg was born and raised in Northern Illinois and graduated from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga with a fine arts degree. After years as a small business owner, he made a slight career change and went in to full time ministry where he is passionate about helping people discover God’s plan for their lives. He has since served in churches in Indiana, Illinois and now in the great state of Kansas! Greg has an amazing family that includes his multi-talented wife Mary, his daughter Aimee who attends the University of Missouri and Julie who is in the fourth grade! Go Mizzou!

Aaron Wallace is the pastor over the West Campus at Asbury and has been on Staff since October of 2001. Aaron graduated from Kansas State University. Aaron has a passion for bringing Jesus to a generation of lost people, as well as building and discipling those on fire for Christ. His gifts include preaching, evangelism, communication, and building relationships. His vision is to see God move by bringing together the people of West Wichita and watching them GO and change the world for Jesus Christ! Aaron is married to Kristy and they have one son, Tyson and one daughter Taylor.

Gordon McClure joined the Asbury Staff in 2007. He is the Worship Arts Pastor giving leadership to the music, dramatic, artistic, and technical aspects of our Services and the Teams that serve these areas. He also serves as one of our multiple Worship Leaders at the Asbury Campus Locations. Gordon holds a Bachelors Degree in Music and a Masters Degree in Music Education. Gordon is also an avid songwriter holding several copyrights and is a CCLI Music Agent through Meagan’s Inheritance Music. On his day off you might find him enjoying outdoor activities including golf, hunting, fishing, dog training, and hiking. The Chicago Bears football team and Notre Dame football team are his two favorite teams to follow providing him with hours of frustration and confusion recently…but, there’s always next year! Gordon is married to Kristy and they have one very lively daughter, Meagan.

Ryan Wallace joined the staff of Asbury in September of 2005. Ryan graduated from Wichita State University. He is passionate about teaching and equipping “the church” to fulfill the Great Commission found in Matthew 28. His position involves overseeing the Breakthru Campus and its attendees as well as being the Assistant Worship Arts Pastor for Asbury Church. Ryan is married to Brie and they have one son, Kenan.

Sandy joined the Asbury Staff in August 2006. Sandy graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. In addition to teaching she is a former Healthcare Administrator. She is active at Asbury in Lifegroups, Sunday School, Navigators and the Welcome Center. Sandy enjoys spending time with her family, quilting and sewing. She is married to Chuck and they have three married sons, Craig, Chad and Sean and three grandchildren

Debbie Derber joined the staff of Asbury Church November of 2005. She works closely with members of Asbury to schedule church activities. She has been active in the life of Asbury for over 17 years. Debbie is married to Tom and they have 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren.

Brent joined the Asbury staff in August 2006 and is responsible for the marketing and publications of Asbury Church. Before coming to Asbury, Brent spent 10 years working in the printing/design industry. He is an active member of Asbury's Worship Teams playing in Breakthru and at the West Campus. Brent is married to Rhiannon and they have one daughter, Madyson.

Synda received her B.A. from Wichita State University with an emphasis in accounting and joined the Asbury Staff in 2007 as the Business Manager. She is married to Mel and they have one son Holden. Synda enjoys reading and spending time with friends.

Michael Teer, Asbury’s IT Specialist, maintains Asbury’s fleet of computers so the Pastors and Staff can keep their ministries on track each week. In addition to keeping our church computers up to date and free of viruses, Michael offers technical support and troubleshooting as well as keeping up on the latest trends in technology and how Asbury can implement new approaches. In this high-tech world that we live and work in, having reliable computers makes all the difference in what the Pastors and Staff of Asbury can accomplish for the Kingdom and without Michael’s computer ministry, it would not be possible. Michael works part time for Asbury and full-time as a civilian firefighter at McConnell Air Force Base here in Wichita. Michael is married to Regina, and they have two children, Ryan and Jami Mumma.

Stephanie Williams is currently serving as the Interim Children’s Pastor for Asbury Church. She has been married to Tim for 13 years. They have three beautiful girls, Victoria, Allie, and Amelia. Stephanie was born and raised in Oklahoma – Go Pokes! She has been a member of Asbury Church for 6 years. Stephanie has worked with children for the past 8 years and has enjoyed every minute of it. Her favorite things are Faith, Family, and CHOCOLATE.

Carrie Wharton is the Director of the Child Development Center and Preschool at Asbury Church as well as the Mom's Day Out program. Carrie has been on Staff at Asbury since August of 2003. She graduated from Bethany College with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Carrie is married to Chad and they have one son, Zachary. Carrie came to Asbury from Topeka, Kansas and she is excited to work with Asbury kids.

Dorothy is celebrating her 10th year of teaching preschool - four of those years with Asbury. This year Dorothy is teaching Monday, Wednesday and Friday classes, along with her responsibilities as Assistant Director. Dorothy believes the Lord has called her into the teaching field and counts it a joy to work with children and their families. Dorothy is married to Kevin and will celebrate their 30th Anniversary this year. Dorothy and Kevin have two grown children, Luke and Linsey.

Matt Lowry is the pastor serving over the Middle School Students as well as Asbury’s Creative Pastor. Matt also serves as the West Campus Worship Leader on Sunday. Matt and his wife Darcie moved back to Wichita in 2008 with their two small children. Matt is excited to see how God can move in the Middle School as well as Asbury Church.

Amy Beckmann is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She received her B.S. in Biology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and her M.S. in Family Therapy from Friends University. Amy has been in practice, at the Asbury Counseling Center, since 2000 and is a recognized referral for “Focus on the Family”. Amy extends her love of therapy and education as an adjunct instructor through PACE at Friends University and working with the Asbury Preschool in basic life skills and emotional development called "Tiny Treasures".

Sid is a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist. He received his BS degree in correctional administration from Kansas State University and his Masters of Science in Family Therapy from Friends University.

Raquel Moeder - Counseling Staff

Raquel Moeder is a student therapist for the Asbury Counseling Center. She is working towards her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friend’s University. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Raquel has taught for the past 8 years; four years of which as a reading specialist working with children who have academic challenges.
