WORSHIP
After God's Own Heart! What an astonishing tribute! But why did David get this extraordinary distinction? More important, with God saying these words it made a way for every person, to become a man or woman after God's own heart. Someone after God's own heart will have a relentless passion to pursue the emotions of God.
"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him" (John 4:23). The Father is in search of worshipers, those hearts that are lovesick to understand how He feels. Worship that flows from deep within a heart of total abandonment is to worship in spirit. Worship is so much more than the hour and 15 minutes we see on Sunday mornings. It's not about being the greatest singers or musician or singing the right songs. It is a lifestyle of relating to God; to gaze upon His heart with a longing to understand the truth of His personality. Worship is a daily activity marking a affectionate relationship with a loving God.
Another way to view John 4:23 could be that love seeks out love. Imagine, the lavish love of God seeks us out and longs for our love in return. He longs for us to understand His love and passion toward us. As we enter into that deeper relationship of worship, of adoration, of seeking, He will do an "extreme makeover" of our heart, transforming our lives into the abundance of all He desires for us, His cherished Bride!
May we be men and women called to be called and known as those who are after God's own heart! PURPOSE STATEMENT
- The primary purpose of the Worship Arts Ministry is to Bring Glory to the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through anointed Praise and Worship as well as Special Events, Ensembles and Visual Arts.
MISSION STATEMENT
- Members of the Worship Arts Team will strive to minister with the Humility of a Servant, with an Expectation of Excellence and with a Desire to point people to the Cross of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
