Connect 10 Groups

In the new year, the Breakthru Campus desires to open up opportunities for community and fellowship. One way we offer this at Asbury is with our Connect 10 Activity Groups. These groups focus on gathering people around hobbies, activities, and interests. In the new year, we are opening opportunities for new Connect 10 groups to form.

The question that we should ask is, “What hobbies, activities, and interests do I have that I can share with other people?”

Here are some examples that will help get you thinking in the right direction…

Perhaps you are a musician that would like to join with other musicians to play at a coffeehouse one weekend a month.

Maybe you have a passion to help single moms and want to gather others to babysit for single moms on Saturday afternoons to allow moms run errands and have desperately needed free time.

What if you are interested in taking art classes and want to find others to join with you

I am starting a “Memorize Philippians” group, where we will memorize Philippians by the end of 2010, join together for coffee weekly, and share about our lives. (And people are already signing up!)

Or someone wants to start a group that will run the Wichita Marathon together in October.

Perhaps a group wants to gather together and cook rare and obscure recipes every week (hook a brother up with some Flan)

The sky is the limit! Basically we all have a chance to enjoy meaningful community with others.  If you have an idea for a group, contact Pastor Joe… immediately!! If you are interested in joining a group, stay tuned via our website or the Worship Guide for groups as they form.

Cheers,
Pastor Joe Skillen
